A £5.7M extension to North Lincolnshire Council's headquarters — full MEP design to RIBA Stage 4 in Revit with hybrid ventilation, Air Source Heat Pumps and natural ventilation via WindCatchers.
Church Square House is a £5.7 million extension to the North Lincolnshire Council building in Scunthorpe, where 600 of the authority's staff will be based. CDI completed the mechanical, electrical and public health services design up to RIBA Stage 4 (Detailed Design), produced in Revit on a fully co-ordinated model with architects and structural engineers.
The Council placed a strong emphasis on sustainability and energy efficiency. The hybrid ventilation system was designed to provide natural ventilation, secure night-time cooling and boosted levels of ventilation during summer. Heating is provided via Air Source Heat Pumps controlled and monitored by BMS. Natural ventilation to council chambers was provided via two WindCatchers installed on the roof.
