A 90,000 sqm shopping mall with 39,000 sqm leasable area in Skopje — a landmark £100M+ development employing innovative concrete structural design to respond to regional seismic activity.
Skopje City Mall has a total of 90,000 sqm, with 39,000 sqm of leasable area and parking space for 1,300 vehicles. The total shopping mall investment exceeds EUR 100 million.
Based on structural explorations induced by the extreme seismic activity common in the region, the tradition of concrete structure is carried over to the form of the mall through a series of unconventional means that test the known limits of the material.
CDI provided a Concept Design for MEP services and worked within an international design team of local consultants, architects and contractors to deliver the project according to requirements.
